She's here!
Our baby girl decided she was ready to come one month ago today! We decided to name her Karrigan Jo Lovell, Austin heard the name Karrigan and really liked it, after awhile it grew on me and we knew this would be a special name for a special girl. Her middle name is "Jo" after me Mindi Jo, named after my mom Jodi.
Austin and I were up late June 20th on a Thursday night finishing up projects in the office, about 11:45pm I decided t a it was time to go to bed, however Karrigan had different plans, after standing up to go get ready for bed I realized I couldn't stop peeing my pants! Lucky for us my water had broken, after showering and getting ready we set off for the hospital at 12:30 am that morning. When we arrived at the hospital sure enough they confirmed that my water had broken and we were admitted into the hospital at 1:30 am, it was then that I called my parents to let them know the good news that soon they would have a new grandbaby. She wasn't in any hurry to come so the nurses told us to sleep through the night and that in the morning the doctor would probably start me on pit to speed things along if nothing had changed. We got through the night, sleeping through the beeping and the nurses coming in and out all night. Not much had changed by the next morning so about 9 they started the pit, however they soon took me off of it when Karrigan's heart beat started getting lower then they wanted. Since her heart beat was sometimes lower then they would like the nurses said their was a chance that they doctor would want to perform and emergency C-Section, so they drew blood and got everything ready just in case. Dr. Lovell came and checked on us and said that he had seen worse and that right now there wasn't a reason to rush anything and that she was just fine. So after more waiting my parents and Erin came into the room and waited with us, Erin and Austin played uno, after a few hours they left to go get some food.
She was delivered by Dr. Codd at 5:19 pm! Everything went great, no complications, Austin watched her first bath! Her little cry was so cute, and I loved being able to hold her in my arms!!! She is definately a precious gift from heaven. We wouldn't trade her for anything.

Family and friends came to visit her in the hospital for the first time, we loved the visitors and Karrigan loved being held. My parents were lucky enough to be close by when she was born, they were some of the first people to see her, while Austin was in class for a couple of hours Grandma Burtenshaw got to spend some quality time with her while I got to take a nap. She has lots of family that love her very much! After a day in the hospital we were on our way home!

Family Fun
Tammy and Ron invited all the cousins down from BYU-I for dinner and games. We love being so close to great family members, especially ones that can cook! After dinner we decided to play the paper game. you roll up a piece of paper and tape it so it stays in a cylinder. The point of the game is to be able to pick up the piece of paper without using anything but your mouth, and nothing is allowed to touch the floor but your feet. The game can be quite tricky, Alex and I are both pregnant so we opted out of the game and cheered everyone else on. I didn't get pictures of everyone, but here is a few.

Baby Shower
Friday May 24, 2013
My amazing aunts threw me a baby shower that was hosted at Mitzi's house. It was an open house style with a few games. It was great to have a lot of my family and friends all together to celebrate the soon coming of our baby girl! We were so excited! Here are some cute pictures that Kassie Furniss took for us :)
